The Digital Nomad. A term we’ve become familiar with and perhaps envious of over the past few years. If you are among the lucky, your job fits neatly in your carry-on bag, ready to go at the drop of a hat to anywhere with a decent internet connection. At this moment, I’m blogging from a charming Scottsdale, Arizona condo while my co-worker is hanging out in Kauai, thinking about web design - or not. Regardless, being able to travel and work is quite honestly the best idea ever. Stand by while I set my Slack on “Mental Break” and jump into the pool.

Awww, that’s better. If you land in the camp of remote worker, consider a stint around Reno and Lake Tahoe. Imagine your Zoom call from a mountain cabin deck surrounded by towering pines and stunning lake views, or work through that complicated sales pitch while navigating the slopes at Diamond Peak. Visit in the summer, and you can draft that memo while digging your toes into a sandy beach. You can’t work all the time, so clock out for the day and find your way to any one of hundreds (yes, hundreds) of local pubs and restaurants. Reno has quite the reputation for amazing farm-to-table restaurants, local bars, and a downtown area that’s filled with Burning Man art, unique shops, and a river walk that takes you through scenic parks, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, concerts, sporting events, festivals, the theater, and the world's largest outdoor rock climbing wall. A surefire way to get your mind away from that pesky work project and into the lifestyle that keeps your parents and your friends asking, “how is that a real job?”
